A Build Update (and request) from the Coaches:
Core team members have put a lot of work into moving the team forward since kickoff. We have a group that has the potential to take this team a long way this year! Since the reveal on Saturday the team has been immersed in game strategy and Ri3d (Robot in 3 Days). The students have done their research and have come up with several ideas for each element of the robot. The programmers have been equally busy and are doing things that we, if we are honest, don't understand but are very excited about :). The business department has been sending out packets to potential sponsors; the graphic design students have been working to finalize a logo, and the food department has been keeping us fed and are planning a fundraiser for February! On Saturday, at 8 am, we will be meeting in the shop to build several of the field elements required for this year's game. We could really use as much help as possible as this is a young team and most members don't have fabrication experience. We are encouraging all team members to come, even if they aren't planning to build, so that they can work on several of the other projects that need to be completed this season. Parents and Mentors, if you are available to help supervise, it would be appreciated! If anyone has a truck that could be used to haul the supplies to school from Menards, please contact Coach Scheider ([email protected]).
